100 Day Challenge: Entering God's Presence

Hopefully over the course of the past week you’ve learned the Book of Leviticus is so much more than a bunch of rules. The Law, the book of Leviticus, does a remarkable job showing us we are in need of a Savior.
I love how Leviticus 1:1 states that the LORD called to Moses from the Tabernacle. Moses himself, a friend of God, could not enter the presence of the LORD due to his impurities. All throughout Leviticus we see the LORD continually creating ways for His chosen creation to be able to enter into His presence. And in Numbers 1:1, we see the fruit of this when God speaks to Moses in the Tabernacle! What a beautiful transition from the beginning of Leviticus.
However, we know this is a temporary solution as humanity continues to fall, disobey, and separate themselves from God.
I love how the blood of Jesus transforms this temporary solution into a final, once-and-for-all, permanent way to enter into the presence of God. We are now filled with the very Spirit of God as we acknowledge Jesus as our Savior – the final sacrifice.
1 Peter 2:5 says, “And you are living stones that God is building into His spiritual temple. What’s more, you are His holy priests. Through the mediation of Jesus Christ, you offer spiritual sacrifices that please God.” The sacrificial system has been removed, the Tabernacle is now internalized, and we exponentially expand the Lord’s Kingdom as spiritual building blocks, carrying His very presence with us. It is beautiful.
Rest in His presence this week. Offer yourselves to Him as a spiritual sacrifice as you spend time in His Word, hopefully every day, internalizing the truth and love of Christ that is written on your hearts!
