I AM A DISCIPLE MAKER // Basic Training

Matthew: 28:19-20 “Go to the people of all nations and make them my disciples.  Baptize them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and teach them to do everything I have told you.  I will be with you always, even until the end of the world.”

Everyone who follows Jesus should be a disciple maker, but do we really understand what that means?

  • Learn to understand and use the Spiritual Growth Stages to grow to be Spiritual Parents in order to serve others.
  • Be in an intentional relational environment (Community Groups) doing life with others.
  • Form intentional relationships to make disciples.

Through our basic training, you will gain a more detailed understanding of these stages, and how they equip us to make disciples.  It is our mission as a church that we all become disciples who make disciples.

Next sessions: coming soon.

This training is open to everyone, but we are asking that all Ministry Partners participate in this training to better serve your ministry.

Equipping Essentials

Whether you are currently serving and would like to enhance your leadership skills, or are hesitant to serve because you feel unqualified, this training will be beneficial for you. Open to Members, Community Group Leaders, and those who completed I'm a Disciple Maker Basic Training. This training is to equip those in leadership or considering leadership with the essentials they need to be successful leaders within the church.

The first hour of each session will include live teaching on scripture and theology, which will then be applied to a disciple making leadership principle. The last 30 minutes will be a break out where you will receive training on different areas of disciple making.

NEXT 3-WEEK SESSIONS:

August 7, 14 & 21McKinley Campus in the Quads

Time: 7:00 pm-8:30 pm.

Stephen Minister Training

Stephen Ministers are congregation members trained by Stephen Leaders to offer high-quality, one-to-one Christian care to people going through tough times. A Stephen Minister usually provides care to one person at a time, meeting with that person once a week for about an hour. Twice a month, Stephen Ministers gather with their Stephen Leaders for supervision and continuing education.

If you'd like to learn more about becoming a Stephen Minister, you can attend an orientation immediately following any service:

September 9 at South Creek (community room of school building across the parking lot from the worship center)

September 15 at McKinley and September 16 at McKinley/Bayview Chapel (former library near door #1)

Sunday Forum

Our purpose for the Sunday Forum is to allow people the opportunity to ask questions, voice concerns, and dig deeper into the content of the weekend's message. It is an open forum-style discussion group, moderated with a light hand.

Open to all inquisitive people who want to engage the biblical texts and themes more thoroughly. Anyone attending Bayview Chapel or the 9:30 service at McKinley (since the message theme is the same) is welcome to join.

Sundays at 11:00 AM in the Gardenview Room.
