Watermark U

Engage the mind. Transform the heart. Empower the Body.

We are developing a partnership with Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky to offer two different year-long educational tracks, one in leadership and the other in theology. These tracks will be an incredible opportunity for anyone, including spiritually mature middle and high school students. Also, for anyone whose workplace requires professional development, these courses culminate in a certificate that counts toward CEUs (Continuing Education Credits).

DISCIPLE MAKER TRAINING

Matthew: 28:19-20 “Go to the people of all nations and make them my disciples.  Baptize them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and teach them to do everything I have told you.  I will be with you always, even until the end of the world.”

Jesus tells his disciples to go and make other disciples, but what exactly does that mean? If you desire to follow the Great Commission, but are confused or overwhelmed at the thought of making disciples, this training is for you! We will address the following questions:

  • Why should we make disciples?
  • What is a disciple?
  • How do we make disciples using Save-Heal-Train-Send framework?

Next sessions:

November 29, 2018:  6:30-9:00pm McKinley Campus (former library next to Door #1)

December 13, 2018: 6:30-9:00pm McKinley Campus Room 117 b/c (Triplex)

January 17, 2019: 6:30-9:00pm McKinley Campus Room 117 b/c (Triplex)

This training is open to everyone, but we are asking that all Ministry Partners participate in this training to be better serve in their ministry context.

Please note: This is a mandatory prerequisite for anyone registered for the Theology or Leadership Institute, as well as for anyone teaching a class through Watermark U.

Sunday Forum

Our purpose for the Sunday Forum is to allow people the opportunity to ask questions, voice concerns, and dig deeper into the content of the weekend's message. It is an open forum-style discussion group, moderated with a light hand.

Open to all inquisitive people who want to engage the biblical texts and themes more thoroughly. Anyone attending Bayview Chapel or the 9:30 service at McKinley (since the message theme is the same) is welcome to join.

Sundays at 11:00 AM in the Gardenview Room.
