We are a Christian one-on-one caregiving ministry that walks with hurting people, truly listens to them, and helps them find peace through Christ. Our Hope & Healing Ministers go through extensive spiritual and relational training. This includes ongoing and deep study of God’s Word as well as regular meetings to learn from and support each other. We invite anyone who is going through a difficult time or situation to seek our help whether you are a believer or not.
What to expect:
A Hope & Healing Minister will meet weekly with their care seeker to listen to their story and struggles. What sets a Hope & Healing Minister apart is our focus on listening. Very often when care seekers come to us for help, everyone has been telling them what to do but no one has taken the time to hear them out. Our ministers are a safe and highly confidential resource for individuals who need someone to come alongside them and model the love of Christ. The relationship between a care seeker and his or her minister might last just a few weeks or it could be a term of months or even years depending on the need. We are dedicated to providing this encouragement, love, and the Word of God to all who come to this ministry seeking help “until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, as we mature to the full measure of the stature of Christ” (Ephesians 4:13).
If you are interested in receiving care through Hope and Healing, please email Tina Myers. If you are interested in becoming a trained Hope and Healing Minister, please email Paul Iannuzzelli. Training is open throughout the year and you can jump in at any time!
If you are in need of someone to talk to, we have trained Encouragers who will meet with you one-on-one for three sessions. During these sessions, you will have the opportunity to share your story, be encouraged with truth, and determine your next steps. We all need a safe person to talk to, and an Encourager can be that for you. To schedule an appointment with an Encourager, please fill out this inquiry form.
If you are interested in counseling options here at Watermark Wesleyan, please fill out this inquiry form. We have individuals available to share with you Biblical principles and practical guidelines while encouraging you on your journey of life.
Watermark also offers support groups, some put together by our teams, along with others hosted here but run by partner organizations.
